I had poi at a Polynesian restaurant back where I grew up. I actually kind of liked it, but I can totally see why most people who don't grow up with it shun it. In my head Jim eats a lot but he's kind of picky (mostly due to his allergies growing up), so I thought it would be funny to show him branching out and it ending horribly wrong. :D
I did not know that it's usually a side dish for adults! That is hilarious, maybe he looked at the wrong spot and ordered from the kids menu!
THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE I WAS GOING WITH IT. Originally they were just dressed as sharks, but then we got silly in the chat, and I threw it in. But yeah it's totally an Austin Powers reference. :D
